MiRA (Medicine in Remote Areas) | UK & Abroad
Advanced First Aid
Endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh; Medicine in Remote Areas (UK & Abroad), or “MiRA”, is designed expressly for those operating in high- risk environments where professional medical assistance is inaccessible. Like our FPOSi, this course is heavily practical as delegates are taught by ex Military and Emergency Services staff on the principles and practices of life support in remote and hostile environments. The course will ultimately provide candidates with the skills and knowledge to provide pre-evacuation emergency medical care. Candidates typically complete this qualification as a “post-requisite” to FPOSi to broaden their relevant skills.
Alpha Safety has also sought approval to deliver the MIRA Qualification as a Level 4 endorsed Qualification under Training Qualifications UK, making this the ideal choice for serving and ex-military personnel with Enhanced Learning Credits.
Students must hold a current First Person on Scene Intermediate (FPOSi) qualification with at least 12 months remaining on the certificate.
