Introduction

PASMA Work at Height (Novice) is the training course you need to get up to speed on the basics of working at height safety. 

This half day classroom based course has been specially designed by industry experts from The Access Industry Forum to provide a foundational level of understanding to working at height, covering a wide range of access equipment.

This course is for any and all industry operatives involved in working at height, not just those who utilise mobile access towers!

A PASMA PhotoCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the Theory and Assessment sessions at the level they attend the course which has a five year validity period.

Course Pre-Requisites

A good understanding of written and spoken of the English language.

  • Current and related law, regulations and industry best practice for safe working at height (such as The Work at Height Regulations 2005)
  • Employee's duties and responsibilities
  • Working at heights hazards, risks and risk assessment
  • Emergency and rescue plans
  • Types of access equipment
  • Selection of approprate access equipment
  • Equipment inspection
  • Selection of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Working on roofs & fragile surfaces
  • Fall protection 
Course Benefits

This course is designed for all operators involved in working at height to learn te skills and knowledge to safely do so. On successful completion, you will be issued a PASMA PhotoCard.

The PASMA Working at Height course is CITB tier 1 grant claimable.
