The AA winter car checklist
We all have our own lists of what we need to keep in our cards to be prepared for the day by day but are you prepared for certain situations.
The AA has created a list of items all drivers should carry with them or have in their car including items to be prepared for the worst during the Winter.
Year-Round Essentials
- A fully charged Mobile phone
- An in-car phone charger or power pack
- Sunglasses
- Personal medication
- First aid kit
- A road atlas
- Sat-nav or a printed route for an unfamiliar journey
Winter Emergency Kit
- A blanket, rug or sleeping bag
- Shovel
- Ice scraper and de-icer
- Torch and batteries
- Snacks - chocolate or cereal bars
- Extra screenwash
Severe Weather Extras
These essentials are for when you know you have to make a journey and bad weather is forecast
- A warm winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves and warm clothes
- Waterproofs
- Sturdy footwear
- A flask of hot drink
