About Paul Jones…
Paul is the founder and Managing Director of Alpha Safety Training Ltd.
As a qualified Safety Consultant, Paul created Alpha back in the summer of 2009. Paul is ambitious by nature and as such is the driving force behind the organisation. Paul is absolutely passionate about the quality of service we provide.
Paul has set an ethos whereby the entire team is treated like family. This works well as some literally are... Paul's sister and cousin both have roles within the company making Alpha a true family business.
When Paul isn't wholly focused on the business he enjoys watching sport, especially football, and the occasional recreational round of golf.
About Danial Ahern…
Dan joined the team at Alpha Safety in 2021 after 14 years of SMT in the health and leisure industry. Dan brings a wealth of experience in driving businesses forward, joining Alpha equipped with a degree in business management and a long-standing career as a General Manager.
Dan is renowned for leading the highest level of service throughout the business for our valued customers, alongside an ability to identify and deliver strategies in line with their needs and goals. He prides himself on his desire for continual improvement and is highly passionate to develop and learn those around him.
Dan loves nothing more than spending time with his family. Dan is also passionate about sport having the privilege of representing Wales nationally in boxing. Dan also loves spending his Sunday's watching American football, more specifically the New England Patriots.
About David Puntan…
David became part of the team in 2021, following an extensive 15x year career within the education & training sector, whilst also offering valuable experience from his time working for BP. David's knowledge for health & safety coupled with his passion for driving standards made him the perfect individual to lead Alpha Safety's quality & delivery standards.
David provides a key role in the operational strategy here at Alpha Safety, supporting the continuation of our ISO 9001 certified quality management systems and Alpha Safety's achievement of gaining status as a CITB Independent Test Centre.
David also leads quality assurance duties, being accountable for the assessment of our services to meet the standards & expectations from our relevant accreditation partners, to date achieving status 1 performance on external audits.
David's passion & commitment to health & safety is evident through his proactive approach to the industry, supported by his election to the IOSH South Wales Branch Committee in 2023.
David is a traditional family man, who enjoys nothing more than spending his time with this 3 granddaughters, who in turn keep him young at heart and most importantly up to date with the adventures of Peppa Pig! He also enjoying spending time on the weekend gardening and visiting coffee shops and restaurants.
About Gemma Ward…
Gemma joined the Alpha Safety team in December 2020 initially as a finance controller. Gemma brings to the team nearly 20 years of accounting experience, which included running the accounts and office operation for her family business.
Gemma’s vibrant energy alongside her extensive accountancy skills has seen her rise to the position of accounts manager here at Alpha Safety, where Gemma continues to impact the future growth and development of the business.
Gemma enjoys nothing more than spending time with her family and taking her 2 dogs for long walks, normally on a beach!
About Lee Johnson…
Lee joined the team at Alpha Safety in June 2024 after 21 years of leisure management. Lee specialises in sales but prides himself in customer after care and service. Having worked against KPI’s and targets his entire working career, the team at Alpha safety will only benefits from his wealth of knowledge and experience in the field. Lee joins Alpha safety equipped with a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science as well as multiple hospitality and management qualifications, all of which transferable to his present role.
Lee is renowned for getting the most out of others and is a strong believer of developing others and leading through them. In previous roles Lee has developed and implemented business strategies in turn building a small local business, to a multi-site estate ranging from Southwest Wales as far as Southend.
Lee is an avid sportsman, representing his country in sports such as basketball and volleyball, also trialled for and played football at high levels for clubs such as Sheffield United. Lee is a family man and enjoys nothing more than travelling and spending time with his wife and daughter, who through no choice of their own are passionate Manchester united fans as is he.
About Steffan Rogers…
Steff re-joined the Alpha team in August 2025 after pursuing his passion to become co-owner & director of another training & consultancy business. Steff's journey came full circle five years later, returning to Alpha Safety with additional experience and knowledge of the industry.
Steff proudly holds a number of qualifications and matched experience in leading teams following his experience of directorship, adding to a skillset he remains keen on sharing with Alpha Safety's valued clients in the development of their own team's skills. Steff is widely regarded in our sector for the highest levels of customer service and duty of care displayed to the strong network he has established over his time in the industry. Steff's values align perfectly to the Alpha Safety ethos of our passion in supporting our partners and their teams.
Like his fellow Business Development Manager Lee, Steff is an avid sportsman who has a passion for playing football. Both being true veterans and patrons of the game resisting father time in their own playing careers! Steff is a proud family man who enjoys nothing more than spending time with his partner, young daughter and family when he's not at work!
About Kacey Morris…
Kacey joined the Alpha Safety team in 2017, originally beginning her career with an apprenticeship as a financial controller. Following achievement of her AAT level 3 accountancy diploma, Kacey achieved a full time role within the business and never looked back! Kacey has since gone on to develop her skills further and her depth of knowledge and experience of the provision of training saw her become our Customer Service supervisor in 2023.
Kacey is renowned for her excellent attention to detail, ensuring our clients needs and expectations are met to the highest of standards. This is reflected in her commitment to support and lead the customer service team to drive the standards throughout.
Outside of Alpha Safety, Kacey loves spending her time with her daughter, partner and the rest of her family.

Rhiannedd joined Alpha Safety in 2020 following a period of work experience within the company. Rhiannedd is the third generation of her family engaged in the provision of training in the health & safety sector, including her mum who is a tutor and her grandparents who ran their own organisation previously!
Rhiannedd takes great pride in ensuring our clients are valued and catered for, with a passionate approach to ensuring our learners achieve the upmost from their training! This commitment is evidenced over her development from work experience to centre coordinator!
Rhiannedd loves nothing more than spending her time attending concerts all across the UK, with a passion for music and performance.
About Abbey Ahern…
Abbey joined the Alpha Safety team in 2022 with an extensive background in customer service support and system operations. Since joining, Abbey has played an integral role in the smooth delivery of our requirements as a CITB approved training organisation and independent test centre.
Abbey takes great pride in being able to support our learners through their training requirements, whether this is providing guidance through the CSCS application process, through to supporting with CITB grant achievement claims.
Outside of Alpha Safety, Abbey enjoys nothing more than spending time with her children & family and planning towards her next trip to Disney!
About Ashleigh Griffiths…
Ashleigh joined the Alpha Safety team back in 2018, where she takes great pride in supporting our clients with their day to day queries. Ashleigh is passionate about helping our learners, utilising her experience and knowledge to ensure she is able to support right throughout the training journey.
Ashleigh enjoys spending her time outside of work with her little girl & partner, visiting local beaches and restaurants.
About Michelle Elsey…
Michelle began her career Alpha Safety back in 2012 where she has provided invaluable support to our clients and learners ever since! Further to general customer service support, Michelle also takes lead on Careers Wales funding for our learners, primarily through the ReAct+ scheme, where Michelle has supported thousands of learners with the pathway to employment through her support and knowledge since 2012.
Michelle loves to spend her time with her family, where possible outside on walks! Michelle is also known for her love of cruises, exploring as much of the world as she possibly can!
About Pat Painting…
Pat joined the team at Alpha Safety in 2023, following a long career in facilities support.
Pat provides an array of support to the day to day operations, ranging from preparation of our classrooms, organisation of training resources and greeting & registering our learners with a warm smile first thing in the morning!
Outside of Alpha Safety, Pat enjoys spending her time with her family and a visit to Bingo!
About Sara Wells…
Sara joined the Alpha Safety team back in 2013, making her one of the original team members to embark on Alpha Safety's journey! During this time, Sara has played important roles throughout the business, originally supporting as a member of the customer service department.
More recently, Sara developed into the accountancy side of the business, working closely to support the accounts manager over the past 3 years. Over the past decade, Sara has developed her skills throughout the business, enabling her to pass on her experience and support for our customers.
In her down time, Sara devotes her time to supporting her 3 boys and husband to be. She is often pitch side cheering them on whilst watching them play rugby!
