The SSSTS 2 day course provides Supervisors with an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues, as well as the legal responsibilities they have relevant to their work activities.
The course aims to support the learner to:
- Supervise the role of health and safety on site, in accordance to current legal provisions in the context of the supervisor role.
- Develop a competent understanding of the responsibilities for health, safety and welfare of other workers on the site.
- Recognise that a safe site is an efficient, economical, productive and environmentally friendly site.

COURSE PRE-REQUISITES
There are no formal entry requirements, delegates should hold, or be about to hold, the role of Supervisor. Delegates must be competent in Written and Spoken English.

COURSE BENEFITS
If you are or about to acquire a Supervisor role on a construction site you have a legal and moral responsibility to your work force. Health and safety of the site lies with you, and it is necessary to make sure you are able to Supervise a site that is suitable to be worked on.
The CITB SSSTS provides a natural progression for those wishing to attend the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) in the future.
If you are booking on behalf of a CITB levy claiming organisation, please provide your unique levy number and learner national insurance number at the point of booking or on the day of the course. On course completion we will then submit your levy claim on your behalf.
The awarding body CITB issue all certificates via PDF format. This will be emailed to the course booking contact on successful completion of the course, once receieved from CITB.
