- Category 3b covers Mobile Boom Lifts, more commonly known as cherry pickers

As IPAF is the leading standard for access training across the globe. Achievement of the accredited qualification supports that you or your workforce are suitably qualified to operate this type of equipment in the workplace to client or principal contractors. This also means that the qualification covers a very wide array or sectors from Construction, Maintenance and Cleaning Services, to Manufacturing & Engineering.

Course Pre-Requisites
As the safe use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) requires the learner to identifysafety notices and read and thoroughly understand the manufacturer’s instruction manual, literacy and language comprehension are important requirements for any MEWP user.
Equally, theand use of MEWPs can be physically demanding, users should be physically fit and in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights / vertigo, giddiness / difficulty with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness.
