Qualitative Face Fit testing is an effective method for ensuring a tight fitting face seal adequate to the user's face on FFP and half masks being used as part of their roles and responsibilities.
Where applicable, our tutors will also be able to provide guidance on equipment; from FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 disposable masks, through to P1, P2 & P3 half masks. This ensures that you are protected, safe in the knowledge that operatives are equipped with the correct RPE.

- Photo ID is required to sit this course
- Candidates must bring the appropriate mask that they intend to wear for their role (full hood RPE's are not accepted for qualitative testing techniques)
- Individuals must arrive clean-shaven to ensure a suitable seal from skin to mask
- No food or drink is to be consumed and no smoking or vaping is allowed 30 minutes prior to the face fit test.
- Individuals should be free from back, neck or hip pain and will be required to complete a fitness statement of suitability prior to the test.
- Face fit testing may not be suitable for individuals who suffer from claustrophobia and similar conditions.

This course is essential for all employees who are required to wear RPE as part of their roles and responsibilities.
You will undergo a series of micro assessments during the face fit test, all of which ensure the suitability of your face mask. During the assessment, a solution will be sprayed into a hood whilst wearing the mask to ensure the face mask prevents the user from being able to taste the solution.
