City & Guilds Medium Risk Entrant & Entry Controller for Confined Spaces Refresher: 6160-09

You must hold an in-date City & Guilds Confined Space qulification, to include operation and entry control for medium risk confined space to undertake this refresher.

Delegates must physically and mentally fit to withstand the rigorous practical training, confirmed by our fitness statement. The recommended weight limit for this course is 20 stone and you must be able to enter, operate and exit tight spaced environments.

Candidates must be able to understand and speak the English Language. 

Theory & Practical refresher assessments, covering the following;

• Health and safety overview
• Confined space regulations and legislation
• Specified risks
• Safe systems of work including risk assessments
• Dangerous atmospheres and environmental monitoring
• Gas detection equipment
• Safety, access and escape equipment – including davit, tripod, man-riding winches, retrieval devices and escape breathing apparatus
• Harness (EN1497) user inspection and fitting
• Conducting vertical access
• Vacating a hazardous environment

This reassignment aims to ensure each learner has maintained a competent understanding of the current regulations of safety and the assessment of risk when working within confined space, keeping individuals and those around them safe.

Written theory assessment and practical confined space entry and operation assessment.
