Changes to the CITB Grant Scheme!

As a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO), Alpha Safety Training welcome the extremely positive announcement made on 20/03/2023 by CITB regarding the increased grant for short duration training courses.

Short duration courses are essential to supporting the construction industry in ensuring the continual enhancement and refreshing of skills, knowledge & understanding.

 

As of April 1st 2023, CITB have doubled the grant rates for short duration training to the following:

• Tier 1 - £60 grant funding (was £30)

Example course: Asbestos Awareness

• Tier 2 - £140 grant funding (was £70)

Example course: IPAF MEWP Operator

• Tier 3 - £240 grant funding (was £120)

Example course: CITB SMSTS

Refresher grant funding is also available at half of the tier rates of the full-length. For example SMSTS Refresher 50% of tier 3 grant funding (£120).

These welcomed grant changes provide essential financial support to registered CITB organisations in the cost of training.
