It is an honour and a privilege

Alpha safety training is delighted to receive recognition for safety excellence. David Puntan, Quality Compliance Manager at Alpha is thrilled to share the following news:

I am proud to share that Alpha Safety has been presented by South and West Wales Safety Group a Certificate for Commended Safety Training Excellence!

It was a privilege to submit the application on behalf of the team, and I’m delighted that our ongoing commitment to health, safety, quality, and wellbeing has been recognised in this way.

It was a great honour to be recognised by the South and West Wales Safety Group for this award — especially as the group is highly respected within the industry for promoting excellence and raising safety standards across the region.

Throughout 2024, Alpha Safety delivered 1,910 accredited and specialist courses to over 7,600 learners, covering essential workplace safety, high-risk sector training, and mental health and wellbeing programmes.

A major milestone was becoming an approved RTITB Instructor Centre, enabling us not only to strengthen operator competence but also to certify new instructors to industry-leading standards. We also achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, reaffirming our dedication to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Alongside training delivery, we introduced a range of wellbeing initiatives — including Mental Health First Aid, Stress Awareness Workshops and Occupational Health program — while expanding our outreach into schools to help develop life-saving skills among teachers and students.

Community engagement remained at the heart of our approach in 2024, with active participation in the Welsh Construction Show, South and West Wales Safety Group Alliance, 4theRegion forums, and the Employability Pathway program. We were also proud to partner with 2B Enterprising to deliver school-based safety education and to support charitable initiatives such as our Pen y Fan fundraising climb in aid of the Welsh Air Ambulance.

This recognition is a testament to the professionalism, passion, and teamwork that define Alpha Safety. A sincere thank you to the South and West Wales Safety Group for this honour, and to every member of the Alpha team for their dedication to making workplaces safer, healthier, and more sustainable."

The presentation was made by the South and West Wales Safety Group's Awards Subcommittee at their monthly meeting, and team Alpha are super proud of this accolade.
