Introduction

By industry, for industry, The CCNSG Safety Passport is the nationally recognised standard for safety cards in the UK engineering construction industry (ECI). The CCNSG Safety Passport has provided engineering and allied employers with the assurance of being the leading health and safety accreditation for over 30 years, with over one million qualifications issued to date.

The 2 day course aims to provide a foundational understanding of health and safety suited to all members of the workforce, a key contributor in reducing accidents and lost time incident on site. The CCNSG Safety Passport is often a mandatory requirement for individuals operating on ECI sites. Completion of this course will enhance your health & safety knowledge, whilst providing clients with the assurance of a quality assured workforce. 

Temporary CCNSG Safety Passport cards will be issued to learners who successfully complete this course. The temporary card is valid for 6 weeks following the end date of the course, whilst awaiting provision of the permanent card. Please note, any learner who requires a temporary card must bring along 2x passport style photographs to the course in order to receive a temporary card on successful course completion.

Course Pre-Requisites
  • A thorough understanding of spoken and written English
  • Valid photographic identification
  • 2x Passport style photographs must be brought for any learner who requires a temporary card following successful course completion.

Course Benefits

Completion of the passport scheme is formal evidence of commitment to health and safety compliance, whilst enhancing the prospect of working on ECI sites and projects.

 

Assessment Method

Four paper based tests, assessing the four core course modules:

  • Health and safety legislation
  • Safe use of tools in different working environments
  • Safe working procedures and solutions to emergencies
  • Personal site safety responsibilities

CITB Grant Achievement

70% funding of this course cost is available via the CITB Employer Network for applicable registered employers where this course is related to a construction related project approved on a case by case basis.
