Alpha Safety offer Cable Avoidance training as an Alpha Certified programme or with NPORS Certification. Through the NPORS route students who successfully complete the training will receive and NPORS Card and Certificate.
This short course addresses both the theory and practical aspects of safely using a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Signal Generator (Genny). Students will be taught essentials on how to use the equipment before a practical element where they will be shown how to correctly trace and mark underground service lines.
Training is delivered in line with HSG 47 for Avoiding Danger from Underground Services.
This course can also be delivered as an EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) accredited programme where required. If you would like more information, please contact us online or call 01792 585868.
